As we bid farewell to 2024, it is with a deep sense of gratitude and purpose that I reflect on the journey we have undertaken together as the Africa-Europe Faith & Justice Network (AEFJN). This year has been a testament to our unwavering commitment to justice, human dignity, and equitable partnerships between Africa and Europe.

Through strategic advocacy, impactful grassroots initiatives, and collaborations with key stakeholders, we have achieved meaningful milestones in areas such as food sovereignty, trade justice, and human rights. While challenges have tested our resolve, they have also strengthened our collective determination to work for a just and sustainable future. The resilience and dedication of our network spanning continents, communities, and faiths have been instrumental in driving our mission forward.

As we turn the page to 2025, the jubilee year; we recognize the pressing need to adapt to the evolving global landscape. Issues such as the governance of critical raw materials, food sovereignty, the complexities of migration, debt crisis and the pursuit of sustainable development demand urgent and innovative responses. To address these challenges, AEFJN is committed to advancing ethical policies, fostering robust research-based advocacy, and reinforcing our capacity by expanding our team in Africa and Brussels.

Together, we will strengthen the bridge between Africa and Europe, amplifying the voices of the most vulnerable and ensuring that justice and fairness remain at the heart of our shared vision. As we embark on this new chapter, I invite all members of our network and our partners to continue walking with us on this journey of transformation. With solidarity and hope, we can create a future rooted in justice and mutual respect.

Let us move forward with courage and conviction, inspired by the belief that a better, fairer world is not only possible but within our reach.
