Fr. Laudani, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo: “You really are an old recommendation!”

Father Franco Laudani narrates of his last trip to Italy, “a trip under the banner of Providence,” because, at the end of it all, “I must admit that everything went as it should.” In fact, from the moment of departure until his return to Buta, there was always a positive element that resolved or changed for the better the situations – not always easy – in which Father Franco found himself.
He was able to have the medical examinations he needed. He was even able to be operated on without long waits. Moreover, he did find connections and free flights when he needed them most, and was able to spend the Christmas period with friends and relatives... Even the loss of his computer was resolved positively!
And so, how could one not subscribe to the phrase the doctor told him and to which he had initially given no weight? “You really are an old recommendation!” Writes Father Franco: “Once again – the millionth time – it is good to know, to feel and to touch with my own hand that there is Someone guiding me, far beyond my plans. And in this Someone I always have great trust.”
