Celebration of the 80th birthday of Father David Ferraboschi in Sudan

After the Eucharistic celebration, which was presided by fr. David himself, parishioners presented their gifts and votes of appreciations in the parish church compound. A papal blessing was also delivered through a message brought by the Chancellor of the Apostolic Nunciature in the Sudan. For the Comboni Missionaries and Comboni Missionary Sisters, the celebration concluded with a fraternal supper together.

The celebration of these 80 years of life coincides with the completion of 50 years of uninterrupted mission in the Sudan (with the sole exception of one year in Cairo). Fr. David has spent most of his missionary life in Kordofan (Kadugli, el Obeid and el Nahoud) and in Darfur (Nyala). It was in 2005 that he came to Masalma, where he has been parish priest until 2015 and now works as assistant parish priest.
