On Sunday, November 20, feast of Christ the King, the Comboni Institute and, in particular, the Comboni Family of Congo, experienced the joy of the perpetual consecration to God of Bro. Patrick Lumani Mwanza. The celebration took place in the Comboni parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Bibwa, St. Jaques deanery, in the archdiocese of Kinshasa. The day opened with the celebration of Mass presided over by Fr. Joseph Mumbere, provincial superior of Congo.

In his homily, Fr. Mumbere explained the meaning of the three vows, linking them to the missionary life of Bro. Patrick and to his mission among the people of South Sudan.

At the end of the celebration. Bro. Patrick stated that his life has become a total gift to God for humankind, especially for the suffering people of South Sudan.

He also thanked all those who have elped him in his journey, in a special way his parents, the educators, teachers and companions. Thanks go to the Comboni family for its participation, in particular the missionaries and the sisters from all the communities of Kinshasa, and the laity.

Congratulations to Bro. Patrick for his missionary witness and for his perseverance in the face of the many difficulties connected with his vocation and his mission, together our best wishes for a good and fruitful mission in South Sudan.
