Meeting of the Comboni Missionaries working in Asia

The Comboni Missionaries of the Delegation of Asia held their yearly meeting in Manila, Philippines on May 5-13. The meeting included a five day spiritual retreat guided by superior general Fr. Tesfaye Tadessec Gebresilasie, a day of ongoing formation on the 18th General Chapter and its implementation, and finally the Delegation Assembly. All of the members of the circumscription attended. The group reflected on the Comboni presence in Asia and the challenges facing the delegation in the various countries and realities where it operates. This reflection will be the basis for the formulation of the delegation’s six-year plan.
Fr. Miguel Ángel Llamazares González, superior of the Comboni Delegation of Asia said: “The presence of Fr. Tesfaye Tadesse in Asia, his reflections during the retreat, his private meetings with the confreres and his simple and fraternal way of sharing, have contributed to strengthen the bonds of communion among ourselves and with the Institute.”
