From Como to Kalongo in the footsteps of Father Giuseppe Ambrosoli

The Dr. Ambrosoli Memorial Hospital Foundation was established in 1998 by the Comboni Missionaries and the family of Father Giuseppe Ambrosoli, a Comboni missionary and surgeon, who dedicated his life to the care of the Ugandan people.
The Foundation supports the “Doctor Ambrosoli Memorial Hospital” and the “St. Mary's Midwifery School of Kalongo” (North Uganda), with the aim of giving continuity and future to the medical and missionary work of the founder.
“Save Africa with the Africans” is the Comboni ideal by which the Foundation is inspired, ensuing from the values and witness of Father Giuseppe Ambrosoli.

The Foundation is run by an Administration Board formed by members of the Comboni religious order, the Ambrosoli family and independent people. The Board carries out tasks on both a strategic and operative level directed at reporting the activity of the hospital and the use of the funds sent during the financial year, and sets out the annual strategic lines.
