Our Comboni family is enriched by a new gift from God to the Institute in the person of Bro. Tomasz Basinski, our second Polish Comboni Brother. The ceremony of his final vows took place in Poland on June 26 in the parish church of Strzyzewo Koscielne, just a few feet away from the home where he was born. Our Vicar General, Fr. Jeremias dos Santos Martins received the vows. The ceremony was attended by all the Comboni Missionaries working in Poland, by Bro. Alberto Lamana Cónsola of the general council, Bro. Tomasz’s family and several members of the local Christian community.

The celebration was followed by a dinner where Tomasz received many signs of appreciation. Our missionary will leave Colombia, where he spent the time of his temporary vows, and will begin a new stage by running the Comboni mission magazine in Poland. We wish Bro. Tomasz continued success in announcing the Gospel with generosity and missionary enthusiasm.
