The usual get together of the Brothers of the Italian province is taking place in Pesaro. The gathering, which started on April 29, will end on May 3, and foresees a robust program of ongoing formation, based on the topic which the Institute has chosen for the current year: “Fraternity.”
About 30 missionaries are taking part in this gathering of the Brothers of the Italian province and they are ready to question and challenge themselves on this topic. The starting point of the gathering was a presentation by the superior general, Fr. Enrique Sánchez González, who re-introduced the content of the letter of the General Council, Fraternity: Journeys of Reconciliation.”
In the afternoon of the first day, Bro. Daniele Giusti gave an update on the situation of the Brothers in the Institute. In the program of the meeting there will be, as always, the valuable witnesses of brothers who have recently returned to Italy, together with moments of relaxation and of encounters with Church activities in the area around Pesaro. The program also foresees a presentation by Dr. Cristiana Santini, an expert in community dynamics, and one by Fr. Efrem Tresoldi, who will speak on the journey of truth and reconciliation that took place in South Africa in order to heal the deep wounds of apartheid. This meeting with the Brothers marks also the conclusion of the superior general’s canonical visit to the Italian province.
