A group of young people from the south of Portugal met on January 26 in the Comboni community of Santarém to reflect on the topic “The sensitive key of the young person in mission.” The event, known as Encontros C’aFÉ, is one of the initiatives of Youth in Mission (GIM) of the Comboni province of Portugal.
The 3rd Encontro C’aFÉ took place on January 26, a sunny Saturday, in Santarém, Portugal. Fourteen young people attended.
According to Daniela – who has attended the three events – the topic of the day, “The sensitive key of the young person in mission,” was a hit with everybody. “Up to now it’s the one I like the best”, she said.
“This day has helped me take one more step in knowing myself. It has helped me to live in the present and to abandon myself to the will of God. We were feeling the lack of days like this one – said Inês Magalhães, who attended for the first time.
Fr. Carlos Alberto Nunes, one of the organizers of the event, underlined that these young people are giving their financial contribution to the “São Daniel Comboni” school of Salvador Bahia in Brazil. “Today we concluded the first phase of our contribution,” he said.
The next events are scheduled for March 2 and April 6, always in Santarém.
