Provincial Assembly in South Sudan

Almost all the Comboni missionaries working in South Sudan are meeting in Juba, as they take part in the Provincial Assembly (14-20 January). The Assembly, with the theme “Human Development in the Context of Evangelization in South Sudan”, will end on Sunday afternoon with a football match between the missionaries and the students of theology.
The morning of the 16th was dedicated to spiritual reflection, guided by the Superior General, Fr. Enrique Sánchez González. In the afternoon he presented the situation of the Institute together with Bro. Daniele Giusti, Assistant General. This morning, before leaving for Rome, they presented a reflection on living the brotherhood. Fr. Enrique and Br. Daniele have spent three weeks in the country.
“South Sudan is the youngest province in the Institute and it offers the Institute an extraordinary opportunity
to develop a new style of mission,” remarked the Superior General.
