“With immense gratitude, I invite you to enter, in a contemplative manner, the Easter Triduum, to renew our spirit, our body and everything that we are through the grace of the Risen Lord who has called us to be converted into his disciples in a world which does not need judges but faithful and joyous witnesses and missionaries, moved by a faith that is at the source of the new humanity we all dream about”, is the wish of the Superior General and his Council.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.”
(Jn 3:16-17)

Dear Confreres,

In these days, when we prepare ourselves to celebrate the Passion and Death and Resurrection of the Lord, committed to a ministry that allows us to be first-hand witness to this mystery, the words of St. John will strongly echo in our hearts and move us to gratitude, which alone can reciprocate the infinite love of the Father for us.

The Father has given us his Son so that we may live in him and of him, so that his love may not be interpreted as mere words lost in time. The Father has given us His Son that we may have from him the life that never ends, so that in him we may be saved.

In these two verses of St. John is contained the whole mystery of our missionary vocation. The God of life has given Himself to us in His Son so that all mankind may enjoy this life for eternity. Our task is simply to proclaim and witness this great gift. We could not have received greater blessings and responsibilities.

With immense gratitude, I invite you to enter, in a contemplative manner, the Easter Triduum, to renew our spirit, our body and everything that we are through the grace of the Risen Lord who has called us to be converted into his disciples in a world which does not need judges but faithful and joyous witnesses and missionaries, moved by a faith that is at the source of the new humanity we all dream about. For this is the hour of God for our world.
Happy Easter
