Spain – Celebrating our vocation as Comboni Lay Missionaries

Last weekend the national meeting of the Comboni Lay Missionaries (CLM) of Spain took place in Granada. It was a very rich and fruitful meeting where we had the opportunity to do missionary animation in many parishes in Granada and the province, presenting the CLM Movement and our missionary vocation. This year, our meeting had a special colour, because, in addition to celebrating our missionary vocation, we also celebrated, as a Comboni Family, the missionary life of one of the veterans of the Movement: María Carmen Polanco.
Throughout her missionary life, María Carmen has always been a gift from God for all of us. We consider ourselves fortunate because María Carmen started her life path a few years before us, so we always had someone to look up to as a role model. We are grateful to have had her as a reference point in our CLM journey, and we thank God for her life given to others and for her enthusiastic dedication to the mission.
Dear María Carmen, may the Lord continue to take care of you and bless you every day, as He has done until now.
