Letter to the Fathers of the Synod

Dear Participant at the Synod on the New Evangelization: Greetings and best wishes to you. We are writing to you at this time because you are involved in the XIII Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops: "The New Evangelization for the Transmission of the Christian Faith," October 7-22, 2012.
This message comes to you from the joint Commission on Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation of the Union of Superiors General (Institutes of men) and the International Union of Superiors General (Institutes of women). The purpose of the Commission is to promote greater awareness, clearer analysis and more effective action in the area of JPIC by USG/UISG members. It is in relation to this purpose that we respectfully offer for your consideration some reflections concerning the content of the Instrumentum Laboris that has been prepared for the Synod.
