La COP27 di Sharm-el-Sheikh è stata sotto diversi aspetti una COP africana. C’è stata un’ampia partecipazione del continente, inclusiva di Stati, organismi regionali e una vibrante società civile. Soprattutto, ha posto al centro la questione della giustizia climatica: i paesi che meno hanno contribuito alla crisi climatica sono quelli che ne pagano il prezzo più alto. Bisogna far pagare il debito climatico, per non lasciar indietro nessuno.
